Refund Policy

Our refund eligibility, process, and timelines

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and one-time purchases made through Lega ("the Service"). Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By purchasing a subscription or credits, you agree to the terms below.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are purchasing a paid plan for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase, no questions asked. This applies once per customer per plan type.

3. Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled beforehand. Renewal charges are not eligible for a refund under the 14-day guarantee, since you had the opportunity to cancel before renewal.

  • You can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings to stop future renewals.
  • Cancelling does not refund the current billing period — you retain access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

4. Exceptions We'll Always Consider

Regardless of the 14-day window, we will review refund requests for:

  • Duplicate or accidental charges (e.g., charged twice for the same period)
  • A billing error caused by us or by Paddle (wrong amount, currency, or plan)
  • Extended service outages that materially prevented you from using the Service
  • Unauthorized charges, subject to identity verification

5. What's Not Covered

  • Change of mind after the 14-day window on an initial purchase
  • Renewal charges after the cancellation deadline has passed
  • Consumed AI credits or generations used before the refund request
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output quality
  • Promotional or heavily discounted one-time purchases

6. Credits and One-Time Purchases

One-time credit packs (e.g., additional AI generation credits) are refundable within 14 days only if the credits are largely unused. Purchases where a substantial portion of the credits have already been consumed are not eligible for a refund.

7. How to Request a Refund

Email us at billing@lega.design with:

  • The email address used for your Lega account
  • Order/receipt reference from your Paddle confirmation email
  • Reason for the refund request

You may also request a refund directly through the payment receipt email sent by Paddle at the time of purchase.

8. Processing Time

We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

9. Effect of a Refund

Once a refund is issued, your paid plan is downgraded to the free tier (or cancelled, for one-time purchases) and any associated paid features or credits are revoked immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
