Perfect-It: One-Click Polish
A single click that adds finishing touches — decorative motifs, spacing fixes, visual polish — to a generated design without changing its core structure.
A generated first draft is usually solid but plain — the composition works, but it's missing the small details that make a design feel finished. Perfect-It is Lega's one-click pass for closing that gap.
What Perfect-It does
Perfect-It analyzes your current frame and applies a set of finishing moves informed by design motifs: adding a complementary decorative element, tightening spacing, reinforcing a focal point, or applying a cohesive treatment across elements that were generated a little inconsistently. Think of it as the difference between a strong rough draft and a version that looks like it went through a final design pass.
Under the hood, Perfect-It works from a library of motif "recipes" — reusable finishing patterns (this treatment pairs well with that layout shape, this kind of decorative accent suits this composition) matched against your frame's actual content, rather than a single generic filter applied to everything. That's why running Perfect-It on two different frames produces two different kinds of polish, each suited to what was already there.
Many of the decorative elements Perfect-It reaches for are the same procedural generators available directly on the canvas — sunburst, wave lines, halftone, scatter, ribbon. See Decorative Layers (Decor) if you want to place or tune these by hand instead of through Perfect-It.
When to use it
Perfect-It is a finishing step, not a starting one. The typical flow is:
- Generate a layout with a prompt (see AI Layout Generation).
- Edit copy, swap images, adjust anything that needs to be specific to your content.
- Run Perfect-It once the structure and content are settled, to add the polish pass.
Running it too early — before you've finalized what's actually in the frame — means you'll likely redo some of the polish after further edits. It works best as a near-final step.
What it doesn't do
Perfect-It won't restructure your layout or rewrite your copy. It respects the composition you already have and adds to it rather than replacing it. If the underlying layout isn't working, regenerating the layout (or running an AI style generation pass) is the right tool — Perfect-It is for a design that's structurally right but visually unfinished.
It's also not destructive: everything it adds is ordinary editable layers, so if a specific addition doesn't land, you can select and delete or adjust it like anything else on the canvas.
Availability
Perfect-It usage is tracked as part of your monthly AI usage, with its own limit depending on your plan tier. See Understanding AI Credits & Limits for how that's counted.
